Orienta M. Iesue

Orienta "Orie" M. Iesue, age 95, passed away peacefully at Sarah Reed Senior Living Center on Sunday, March 5, 2023. She was born in Erie on October 31, 1927, a daughter of the late Antonio and Enrichetta (Iesue) Cavicchio.

Orie was a graduate of Academy High School. She was a devoted and active member of Saint Paul Catholic Church and belonged to the Rosary Altar Society. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a wonderful Italian cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Iesue; her brothers, Rudolph (Rose), Eldo (Lawanna), and Ernie (Norma) Cavicchio; and
her sister, Yola (John) Leone.

She is survived by her children, Paul J. Iesue (Sally), Joseph A. Iesue (Janice), and Lorrie Wieszczyk (Raymond); her sister, Serafina "Sarah" Cavicchio; her grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Jamie, Dean, Stephen, Stacie, and Sara Lynn; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul Catholic Church, 1617 Walnut Street, on Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
