Paolina A."Pauline" Ciotti Montagna

Paolina A. "Pauline" Ciotti Montagna, 77, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born July 26, 1939 in Rocca Pia, Italy, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria Letterio Ciotti.

She immigrated to the United States from Rocca Pia in 1957. She worked at Firch Baking Company, The Sugar Cafe, and was the owner and operator of Little Italy Restaurant.

Pauline was always kind, loving, compassionate, and giving. She was devoted to her family especially her grandchildren to the end.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Giuseppe "Joseph" I. Montagna, Sr.; a sister Fiorina Amicucci; and a daughter-in-law Diana Montagna.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina L. Montagna; three sons, Luigi P. Montagna, Joseph I. Montagna, Jr. (Christine), Gino J. Montagna (Pamela) all of Erie; and eight grandchildren, Annamaria, Domenico, Gabriella, Francesca, Adriana, Carmina, Natalie and Luca. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and may attend a service there on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Pauline's family would like to thank The Great Lakes Hospice Team for their wonderful care and special thanks to her nurse Sally Neer. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, Erie, PA 16502 or to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th St., Erie, PA 16508.
