Pasquale Frank "Sonny" DiFucci, 88, of Erie, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025 at home following a brief illness. He was born January 26, 1937 in Erie, a son of the late Giuseppe and Philomena (Cirillo) DiFucci.
Pasquale proudly served in the United States Army, enlisting on July 11, 1955. His career in logistics spanned an impressive 35 years, showcasing his dedication and expertise in service to his country. Following his military service, Pasquale spent 4 years as a cryptologist with the CIA.
Beyond his professional achievements, Pasquale was known for his love of golf. He was an active member of local clubs such as Nuova Aurora, Zukor, National, and Seinbenbuerger. His vibrant spirit resonated in the community, further embodied through his participation with the VFW Post #470.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph DiFucci; two sisters, Esther DiMaria and Marie DiRaimo; and two nephews, Sebastian DiMaria and Ralph DiFucci.
He is survived by his son, Patrick A. DiFucci; step-daughter, Theresa Schneider; step-son, Dan Schneider; granddaughter, Katharine Khademi (Alex); and two great-grandchildren, Henry and Vivienne. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, Robert DiRaimo (Kathy), Angela Cologrande (Dennis), Joseph DiFucci (Jackie), Diane DiRaimo, Rebecca DiFucci, and Jeffery DiFucci (Lori); former spouse, Amy DiFucci; and dear friend, Judy Miller.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday at Saint Paul Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be private at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Disabled Veteran Solutions, 2323 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
