Patricia Ann McLaughlin Bennett

Patricia Ann McLaughlin Bennett, 67, of Erie, peacefully said goodbye to her loving family and walked into the arms of our Lord and Savior on October 1, 2022. She was born November 10, 1954 in Erie, the eldest child of the late David Leo McLaughlin and Rose Marie LaRiccia McLaughlin.

Patty was a graduate of General McLane High School Class of 1972. She worked at Erie Home for Children and Adults as a caregiver.

Patty adored her family and cherished her time with them. She was lovingly called "Tata" by her grandchildren and had a special bond with her mother Rose Marie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph McLaughlin, Sr. and Paul McLaughlin and one sister, Mary Rose Scarpitti.

Patty married the love of her life David Bennett in 1973 and he affectionately called her Trish. Her pride and joy were her two daughters, Jennifer Bennett (John Anderson) and Tina Bennett. She is further survived by two brothers, Michael McLaughlin and Steven McLaughlin; one sister, Shirley Oehler (Joseph); three grandchildren, Zachary, Kyleigh, and Jenna Sasso; many nieces and nephews, her beloved dog PJ, and grandpup Zeke.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
