Raymond M. Grignol, Jr.

Raymond M. Grignol, Jr., age 76, passed away at UPMC Hamot Hospital on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. He was born on February 1, 1949 in Erie, a son of the late Raymond and Remley (Ives) Grignol.

Ray was a native of Erie County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Tech Memorial High School, Class of 1968. Immediately following high school, he was drafted into active service in the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Vietnam War. His service continued for an additional 30 years in the Army Reserves, where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant. He worked as a machinist in the tool and die industry, in the Erie area. He will be missed by those who loved him.

Ray is survived by his wife Karen (Thomas) Grignol; his daughter, Danielle Grignol; his sons, Joel Grignol (Christine) and Jason Baughman (Nicole); his sister, Remley Grignol; and grandchildren, Adelaide Grignol, and Jakoby and Isaac Baughman.

Friends are invited to a Graveside Prayer Service followed by the presentation of Military Funeral Honors in Mill Village Cemetery, 1725 W Center St, Waterford, PA on Friday July 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors (www.pawoundedwarriors.org/donate).
