Rebecca A. Sissem May, 57, of Erie, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Saint Vincent Health Center after an extended illness. She was born January 24, 1958 in Erie, a daughter of the late Howard J. and Virginia Lombardozzi Sissem.

She was a graduate of Tech Memorial.

Rebecca had worked as a nurses aid at Saint Vincent Health Center. She was a loving person and enjoyed arts and crafts.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Robert G. May; three brothers, Stephen J. Sissem of Edinboro, PA, Howard J. Sissem (Denise) and David J. Sissem both of Erie; one sister, Pricilla A. Sissem of Indiana, PA and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 5711 West Lake Road, at noon. Memorials may be made to Emergycare 1701 Sassafras St., Erie, PA 16502. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
