Richard F. Seggi

Richard F. Seggi, 72, of Erie, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born April 4, 1950 in Erie, a son of the late Joseph and Gelsomina Fortebraccio Seggi.

Richard was a graduate of Academy High School and served in the United States Navy. He worked for the Erie School District as an Engineer for 27 years.

Richard enjoyed meeting with his friends every morning to drink coffee and discuss life. He was an avid sports fan and was passionate about following the New York Yankees. He enjoyed traveling, visiting "Little Italy" neighborhoods, and honoring his Italian Traditions.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Seggi.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patty A. DeMartino Seggi; one son, Joseph R. Seggi (Melissa); two step-sons, Jeffrey Harvey (Karen) and Eric Harvey; and seven grandchildren, Anthony, Taylor, Meghan, Cameron, Sophia, Becca, and Jessica. He is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Genysis and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Girard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to ProMedica Hospice Care, 719 Indiana Dr., Erie, PA 16505.
