Rita Mae D'Agostino McCall

Rita Mae (D'Agostino ) McCall, 87, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 peacefully and surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 30, 1931 in Erie, a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Amatangelo D'Agostino. She graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1949 and retired from GTE/Verizon in 1988 having worked in may positions including the State Headquarters and Business offices. She was active in many civic groups over the years and enjoyed many social gatherings.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant sister Virginia Mary D'Agostino; brother Leonard D'Agostino (Connie); sister Rose D'Agostino Cavicchio (Rudy); and an infant daughter Susan Marie McCall.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James J. McCall, and her children: son James A. McCall, wife Janis, granddaughters Allison and Megan McCall; her daughter Kathleen McCall, grandson John A. Luchin III, wife Stacy; daughter Ann McCall (Jerry); son John W. McCall, wife Mary Lou and granddaughter Stephanie Libra, Kelly McCall and Erin McCall.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the Care Giving Staff of Brevillier Village-Ball Pavilion for their care, understanding and the Last Goodbyes Processional. Our deepest gratitude to Monsignor Gerald Ritchie, Our Lady of Mercy, for her anointing and Last Rites.

Per Rita's wishes no calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to Brevillier Village Foundation, 5416 East Lake Rd., Erie, PA 16511 or to the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Center, 100 East Avenue, Erie, PA 16507. Arrangements are being handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc.
