Robert Salvatore Rizzo

Robert "Bob" Salvatore Rizzo, 88, of Erie, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at LECOM at Presque Isle. He was born May 16, 1935 in Erie, a son of the late Thomas and Mary Cermak Rizzo.

Bob attended Holy Family Grade School and was a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School Class of 1953.

He worked at Hammermill Paper Company until his retirement.

Bob was a member of the Erie Bridge Association. He was an avid bowler, golfer, card player and Detroit Tigers and Lions fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Salvatore Martin Rizzo (Darlene) and step-mother Violet Clark Rizzo.

He is survived by his dear cousins and caregivers, Kathy Polito and Greg Cermak (Linda) and several other cousins.

A private funeral service will be held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., will be handling arrangements.
