Ron "Ronnie" Smith

Ron "Ronnie" Smith, 54, of Corry, formerly of Erie, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie, a son of the late Clarence and Doris Jane Bowers Smith.

Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed his family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Furhman and Floretta DeFoy and one brother, James DeFoy.

He is survived by his fiancee, Marilyn L. Parrett of Corry; four sons, David Parrett (Kesha), Travis Parrett (Katy), Ronald and Brian Smith; four brothers, Larry DeFoy (Nancy), Gary DeFoy (Jenny), Robert DeFoy, and Rodney Smith (Jody); and four sisters, Sandy DeFoy, Brenda Payne, Florence Greulich, and Lynn Colburn all of Erie. He is also survived by three grandchildren, David "DJJ" Parrett Jr. ,Tyler Parrett, and Trenton Parrett and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
