Ronald C. Blakeslee

Ronald C. Blakeslee, age 74, passed away after an extended illness on Friday, February 17, 2023 at UPMC Hamot Hospital. He was born on October 13, 1948 in Erie, a son of the late Arthur and Dorothy Sturdivant Blakeslee.

Ron was a graduate of Academy High School, Class of 1966. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Ron worked as a marine technician for Michalak Marine for many years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and papa. He loved drag racing, building cars and spending time with family. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Blakeslee.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Major Blakeslee; his daughter, Beverly Blakeslee; his sons, Christopher and Shawn Blakeslee (fiance, Carrie Varno); his grandchildren, Maya, Averie, and Emersyn Blakeslee, and Olivia Furey; and his sister, Jaci Burek (Thomas). He is also survived by his beloved extended family in England and many nieces and nephews.
