Rose D. Cirillo D'Amico

Rose D. Cirillo D'Amico, 103, of Erie, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Elmwood Gardens peacefully in her sleep. She was born September 27, 1919 the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Tartaglione Cirillo.

Rose was born the year women were given the right to vote, she was proud of this and inspired the young women in her family to vote.

She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters. The most important thing in Rose's life was her family. Her door was always open and she was always ready with drinks and food anytime of the day for anyone who stopped by.

Rose loved singing to all her grandchildren and even got to sing with her great great-granddaughter at the age of 101 years old. The last couple years she was known to enjoy her chocolates with a nice cup of coffee but what has stayed a constant in her life was praying the rosary before going to bed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred "Red" D'Amico; three brothers, Arthur, Anthony, and Frank Cirillo; and five sisters, Phyllis DiLoreto, Philomena DiFucci, Angeline Bennetti, Ann Bennetti, and Nicolina Yoculan.

She is survived by her three children, Michael K. D'Amico (Helen), Rebecca M. Nardo (Joseph "Gary"), Patricia A. Colonna (Joseph); seven grandchildren, Mary DeBello (Todd), Mark D'Amico (Leigh), Natalie Nardo, Gary Nardo, Eric Nardo (Lili), Stephanie Agostino (Thomas), and Lori Colonna (Brian); fourteen great-grandchildren, Anna DeBello, Sara DeBello, Sophia D'Amico, Rose Baldauf, Annie Baldauf (Dan Roberts), Will Baldauf, Brandon Nardo (Lindsay), Kevin Nardo, Jacob Nardo, Megan Nardo, Patricia Root (Donovan James), Joseph Smith, Brieanna Smith, and Schaefer Mezzacapo. She is also survived by one great great-granddaughter, Willow James and many nieces and nephews.
