Rose V. Ventresca Jagta

Rose V. Ventresca Jagta, age 85, of Erie, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at UPMC Hamot after a brief illness.

She was born February 19, 1927 in Erie, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Cavicchio Ventresca. She lived in Erie her entire life. Rose had worked at GE for 34 years. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and reading.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Jagta; two brothers, John and Joseph Ventresca and one sister, Lillian Nielsen.

She is survived by one sister, Mary Ventresca of Erie and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Monday at Saint Boniface RC Church, 9367 Wattsburg Rd., at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
