Shirley A. Johnson Stratton

Shirley A. Johnson Stratton, 79, of Erie, died Friday, September 30, 2016 at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness. She was born November 15, 1936 in Erie, a daughter of the late Robert and Carmella Manna Johnson.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, being with her family and friends and hosting all the family functions.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Adams. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Stratton, Jr., of Erie; three daughters, Renee M. Lo (Richard), Ladera Ranch, CA, Karen A. Hume Kaufmann, and Denise M. Manchester (Robert), of Erie; and one brother Robert Johnson (Annette) of Erie. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Alaina, Alyssa and Cameron; one great-grandchild, Morgan and nieces and nephews

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at St. Patrick's RC Church, 130 East Fourth Street from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private at Erie Cemetery.
