Thomas F. Orlando

Thomas F. Orlando, 73, of Erie, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 22, 1950 in Montenero, Italy a son of the late Pietro and Colomba Zuchegna Orlando.

At the age of eight Thomas immigrated to the United States. He was a 1968 graduate of Tech Memorial High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Thomas worked at AMSCO for numerous years until the company moved.

Thomas enjoyed tinkering around his garage and taking care of any family repairs alongside his brothers. He was a member of the Sienbenbuerger Club. Thomas was an avid Steeler's fan, always played the Power Ball, and completed daily crossword puzzles. He was affectionately called Pop Pop by his beloved grandkids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Filomena Orlando and two brothers, John Orlando and Joe Orlando.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Skolnik Orlando; five children, Kristina Terhark (Andrew) of O'Fallon, IL, Bobbie Orlando (Sam Petroff), Justin Orlando, Trevor Orlando, and Connor Orlando; and four brothers, Mario Orlando (Lena) of Phoenix, AZ, Nick Orlando (Carmela), Sal Orlando (Mary), and Tony Orlando (Barbara). He is also survived by four grandchildren, Alina, Wyatt, Raina, and Kamryn and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
