Thomas Vanchieri

Thomas A. Vanchieri, 77, of Round Rock, TX, formerly of Erie, PA, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Baylor, Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, TX after a brief illness. He was born April 12, 1948, in Erie, a son of the late Jack and Mary (Benacci) Vanchieri.

Tom was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School Class of 1966 and served in the United States Naval Reserves from 1966-1972.

He retired from Lord Corp. in Erie, and from Walmart in Round Rock.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and cherished his dogs over the years, including most recently Cosmo, Lily and Lucy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack V. Vanchieri and his wife Carol (Campanella) Vanchieri; brother-in-law, David Wieczorek; and, great nephew Joshua Buffalari.

He is survived by his two sisters, Carol Wieczorek and Mary Lou (David) Reichard, both of Erie. He is also survived by 2 godsons, 2 nieces, 9 nephews, 9 great nieces, 9 great nephews, 10 great-great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral Services and burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., is handling arrangements.
