Thomasina G. Bianco Colao

Thomasina G. Bianco Colao, 91, of Erie, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Village at Luther Square after a brief illness. She was born July 10, 1925 in Olean, NY, a daughter of the late Leonardo and Philomena Marucci Bianco.

Thomasina volunteered at Saint Vincent Health Center. She enjoyed cooking, bowling and her card club with her best friends.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Colao; one son, George T. Colao; and two brothers; Fred and Anthony Bianco.

She is survived by one daughter, Christine Colao-Nickson of Erie; five grandchildren, Ken E. Nickson, Jr. (Tica) of Erie, Ashely B. Colao of Erie, Brandon G. Colao of CA, Ryan A. Colao of Erie, and Jared T. Colao of FL; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and may attend a service there on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1600 Peninsula Dr., Erie, PA 16505.
