Victoria Caroline Beyer Fabrizio

Victoria Caroline Beyer Fabrizio, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2022, after an extended illness. She was born October 30, 1947, in Erie, a daughter of the late Walter E. and Miotte E. "Betty" Arnold Beyer.

Shortly after graduating from Strong Vincent High School, Vicki began her 30-year career as a writer/columnist/reporter with the Erie Times News. During her career, she received numerous awards, including a coveted first place award from the PA Newspaper Publishers Association. Vicki also worked as office manager for GECAC's career center.

She was a former member of the March of Dimes Board of Directors, a member of the Citizen's Advisory Board for Probation and Parole, and a former judge of tourist attractions for the state.

Vicki was currently a member of the Erie Elks Lodge #67, the Sunflower Club, the Zukor Club, La Nuova Aurora Society, and was on the Board of Directors of Hospice of Metropolitan Erie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, State Representative Florindo "Flo" Fabrizio; her sister, Patricia Beyer Collier; and two brothers-in-law, Rev. John Collier and John Mong.

Vicki loved and was extremely proud of her sons, Anthony J. Sanfilippo (Allison) and Matthew J. Sanfilippo (Brooke); as well as her grandchildren, Sophia, Joseph, and Luciano. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Rosalia Mong; her first husband and friend, Tony Sanfilippo; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc. 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
