Vincent P. Orlando, age 82, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, February 6, 2026. He was born on February 4, 1944 in Erie, a son of the late Dominic and Angeline (Phillips) Orlando.
Vinnie was a proud graduate of Cathedral Prep, Class of 1962. He owned and operated his own construction business for most of his life, taking great pride in his work. A devoted New York Yankees fan, Vinnie enjoyed many pastimes, including baseball, skiing, golfing, and boating on Lake Erie. However, his true passion was bowling. A highly skilled and accomplished bowler, he rolled numerous perfect 300 games and 800 series over the years and was inducted into the Erie Bowlers Hall of Fame.
Beyond the lanes, Vinnie was an avid model railroad enthusiast and a dedicated Lionel train collector. He took immense pride in the elaborate layout he built, which spanned his entire basement and was always a joy for him to share. Known for his great sense of humor, Vinnie could often be found "holding court" in nearly any social setting, effortlessly bringing laughter and life to those around him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Larry Raimondi.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen L. (Breckley) Orlando; his children, Cary Orlando and Angela (Jamie) Potosnak; grandchildren, Hanna and Andrew Potosnak; and his aunt, Geraldine Kaufmann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Vinnie's family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to Amy, Dawn, and Rich, from VNA of Erie County for the exceptional care they provided.
