Virginia F. Schmidt

Virginia F. DiMarie Schmidt, age 85, of Erie, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at St. Vincent Health Center following an extended illness. She was born May 9, 1929 in Erie, a daughter of the late Frank and Grace DiAngelo DiMarie.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Schmidt and two brothers, Anthony and Peter Schmidt.

She is survived by one brother Frank DiMarie, and two sisters, Marie Baldi and Rita Zollner, all of Erie. Also surviving are nieces and nephews

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, inc., 2122 Raspberry Street is handling the arrangements.
