Virginia Herbert

Virginia (Alberico) Herbert, age 94, of Waterford, PA, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024, at her residence. She was born on May 28, 1930, in Erie, a daughter of the late Antonio and Palma (Euliana) Alberico.

Virginia was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, class of 1948. She was employed at American Meters, Griswold, and Erie Insurance, where she retired in 1998.

Virginia enjoyed cooking large meals for the family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Herbert; four siblings, Vicky (Alberico) Daugherty, Angela Alberico, Jim Alberico, and Michael Alberico.

She is survived by her son, Derek Herbert; her daughter, Donna (Herbert) Adolphson; her grandchildren, Andrew Adolphson and Rachel (Adolphson) Bizzarro; her great-grandchildren, Daisey Marie Hodge, Dallas Russell Hodge, and Alonzo Joseph Bizzarro. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The Herbert family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to UPMC Hospice for the care Virginia received.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
