Wendy Kenny Sementilli, 60, of Erie, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born November 12, 1960 in Erie, a daughter of Jean Barbour Kenny and the late Robert Kenny, Sr.

Wendy graduated from Academy High School and at the age of 52 graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mercyhurst University. She worked as an assistant to the manager of Prudential Insurance Company and then as an office manager for her husband Daniel's New York Life Insurance Business.

As a child, Wendy learned to love music and mastered the Violin and often played alongside her sister Deborah. Wendy was a supportive and caring mother of two children Briana and Danny. While raising her children, she could always be found caring for her vegetable and flower garden in the summer, on the sidelines cheering on her children during sporting events in the fall, cooking her delicious spaghetti sauce on cold winter mornings or knitting loved ones afghans in the evening, walking her dogs (Sparky, Maddie, or Roxie) in the brisk spring air. She always had a quick witted joke or comment on hand when interacting with her family and friends. Wendy was also a friend of Bill W. and was loved by many.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Brett Kenny and one sister, Deborah Kenny.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 36 years, Daniel J. Sementilli; daughter, Briana J. Sementilli; one son, Daniel A. Sementilli (wife Yu "Lucy" Sementilli Han); grandson, Aidan Joseph Sementilli; brother, Robert Kenny, Jr. (wife Deborah); and two sisters-in-law, Mary Kenny and Darlene Kenny. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. John Jacquel and Pastor Shirley Deemer. Burial will be private and at a later date.
