William H Chapin

William H. Chapin, 85, of Erie, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at LECOM at Elmwood Gardens. He was born in Erie, PA a son of the late Harold E. and Myra (Orr) Chapin.

William was a graduate of Academy High School. After graduation he joined the United States Army. After he was honorably discharged, he was employed at GE and then worked at CSI Albion.

He was a member of VFW Post #470 and a life-member of the Sunflower Club.

Bill enjoyed golfing and loved all animals especially his dog. Above all else he cherished his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Chapin.

He is survived by his two daughters, Susan Gilson-Talarico and Pamela Davidoff (Douglas); sister, Karen Chapin (Jim); and six grandchildren, Austin Gilson, Matthew Gilson (Ariel), Luke Davidoff, Jr., Andrew Davidoff (Amra), Josh Davidoff, and Carly Talarico. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
